Fostex R8 - 8-Track Reel-to-Reel Tape Recorder (Spares or Repairs)

The unit is fully tested and reverse function is not working. All other functions and fully working including remote operation. Please see photos for proof of condition. Comes with manual, Fostex MTC-1 Midi controller, remote control and the cable required to connect it to the unit. 

The Fostex R8 is an 8-track reel-to-reel tape recorder that was introduced in the late 1980s. It features a tape width of ¼ inch and operates at a tape speed of 15ips with a pitch control range of +/-10%. The recorder includes Dolby C noise reduction and has a frequency response of 40Hz to 18kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio of 78dB weighted. It also has a unique feature where the front panel can be removed to serve as a remote control unit, allowing for operation up to 5 meters away from the machine.
