The Story

Both decks make clicking noise but not engaging the tape. Please note this unit needs to be connected to an amplifier via power ribbon cable to gain power.

The Technics RS-EH600 is a stereo cassette deck that was available from 1997 to 1999. It features a double compact cassette design with 4-track, 2-channel stereo capability and supports tape speeds of 4.8 cm/s. The deck includes 1 playback head, 1 record/playback head, and 1 erase head, and it uses a DC servo motor. It supports type I, CrO2, and metal tapes with noise reduction B. The frequency response is 20Hz to 16kHz on metal tapes, and the signal-to-noise ratio is 66dB with Dolby B.
